Our services are provided to the Buffalo Trace Area Development District, which include: Bracken, Fleming, Lewis, Mason and Robertson counties.
As well as the Gateway Area Development District, which include: Bath, Menifee, Montgomery, Morgan, and Rowan counties.
We at Child Care Resource and Referral are a referral service to parents within these two districts. We connect parents to three or more licensed childcare centers. The referrals that we give parents meet the specified requirements that are set by the parents. Examples of these specified requirements can be location, fees, services, and types of programs. We maintain a database of parents who have received our services and make available a checklist to parents to aid them in the important decision of selecting a quality match for a childcare provider. Child Care Resource and Referral makes available other consumer education and child development information to parents. As well as referring families to other appropriate agencies and community based programs.
We also are a support service for licensed and certified providers. We provide technical assistance in home child care providers dealing with licensing and federal programs such as the Federal Food Program. We offer and provide training to child care providers so that providers meet licensing and certification requirements. We also offer a resource library to provide child care providers with resource materials. These materials range from books, games, to videos. We also assist providers who are need of information. CCR&R maintains a database on childcare providers to use with parents who are in search for certified and licensed childcare providers.
Child Care Resource and Referral works with business owners to help meet the needs of their workforce to help improve child care programs in the area. We provide information to business and various other agencies pertaining to childcare issues, as it would relate to employers employees. We will also provide information to employers who are interested in subsidizing childcare costs or implementing their own quality childcare facilities.
We also collaborate with local agencies to improve the quality and conditions of childcare. We assist those who are interested in being certified or licensed childcare providers.
